Amazing

Dear Family and Friends:

The Holy Week was amazing!! It really was cool to us to see how God has answered our many prayers. This past week we have been running super low on money and we really weren’t sure what we were going to do for food and buses this week so, we prayed and luckily it was the holiday season, because we didn’t pass a single day without someone offering us some food.

Apart from that, this past week was my birthday and the birthday of my companion.  His was on the 25th of March, so we planned an activity with the ward, a talent show and in the morning an activity with the younger kids. We all had a good time and laughed a ton.

Anyways, this week Cesar didn’t attend church.  He went and played soccer with his friends, so we have a good ol' plan to help him understand to put God first!!!!

Also, we are sharing with a man by the name of Wilson Rojas and we are seeing some good process in his changes.  It is super exciting!!  He has been well prepared to receive the gospel, but his work makes it almost impossible to share with him. He wants to believe, but has many doubts because of the science theories. He is excited to come and watch General Conference this week which will be amazing.

It really is mind boggling sometimes how God performs all of his work. By small and simple things, He can make great things come to pass. We just have to let Him and give ourselves to Him.

Hope you all had a great Easter and will remember Him always.

Love,

A Beautiful Week

Dear Family and Friends:

What a beautiful week!!! Really, Tuesday, we had a conference with almost the entire mission with Elder Urra of the Seventy and his wife! It was a great reminder of the great blessings that we are extending to our brothers and sisters.

On Wednesday, we spent most of the day figuring out and informing the members about the wedding and baptism of Carlos and Sonia because the judge was only available for Thursday night. So we solutioned all of that. And he was baptized!!!

Thursday was spent preparing ol’ Carlos with the last few details and talking with the Famlia Molas about their goal of an eternal family and how they would have to si o si put God first, if they want the heart of their father/husband to soften and accept the gospel.  Last Sunday was the first time that they have come to church for a long time and the oldest son Cesar's first time in the church! So this week makes for 2 times in the church and we have it planned out for him to be baptized the 9th of April. He really is beginning to progress quite a bit, which is a miracle.

Well, it always surprises me in how the promise of our Lord, (that no power in this earth or out of it can stop this great work), is accomplished.  He knows how it will be fulfilled and has given us a calling to be his arm and to wield His sword may we fight with valentia and diligence. Jesus is the Christ, has been and always will be!  He loves us unconditionally and if we obey Him, He will be able to drown us with blessings.

Love you all!

Just Live It

Dear Family and Friends,

The mission life is going great. Elder Paredes and I are getting along really well and enjoying our time together. And once again we had a week with several miracles.

Griselda and Cristian are doing great and Griselda brought a friend to church that has been a member for a long time and her husband so that was super cool to watch her share the gospel with her friends.

Also, Carlos and Sonia are progressing incredibly.  We watched “Together Forever,” talked a little about marriage and baptism and went back another day just to talk with Carlos.  Saturday, when we were talking with them both Carlos realized that he had to sí o sí get married to her and like NOW. So they are going to have a wedding this Friday and Carlos will be baptized right afterwards!!!!! At church yesterday, I was talking a bit with Carlos and everything and he mentions that he just has to share this (the gospel) with his brothers and help them understand why, which is because he loves how he feels now and the peace that it has brought into his life!!!

We have also been sharing with the Molas family.  Most of them are members menos (less or except) the oldest son, Cesar.  Well after they all arrived at the church for the first time in months with all of them other than the father, who is not a member.

It really is amazing that, as people understand the Gospel and then apply it into their lives, life gets better, a lot better, confidence raises, anger lowers and there is a lot more love in the house.  It (The Gospel of Jesus Christ) is true and the only smart thing to do is live it.

I love you all!

Huge Tender Mercies

Dear Family & Friends:

Wow, as for tender mercies, there were many huge ones!!!

Monday and Tuesday, we passed working hard.  However, we were somewhat sad that we were going to have to wait until Christian gets back from his work. Wednesday, we were over teaching the family of Griselda and she and Christian walk in.  The rest of that night Elder Paredes and I were asking each other what had happened and why Christian was still here.  Thursday, during planning, we had just finished planning for them and we received a phone call asking us if they could still get married this Saturday and Griselda be baptized!!!!! Yea, of course so we arrange everything up and it all went perfectly so beautiful.

Griselda is set on going to the temple in one year and it is just so cool!!!

Minutes before the baptism the bishop asks, “Why doesn’t Christian baptize her?”  They quick looked on the records and ya, he is a priest.  He has an interview with the bishop, all is great and he baptizes her.

Also, Carlos and Sonia came again this week and we didn’t even make arrangements for them to come.  They did it by themselves which is a good step towards progression and we are looking to baptizing them.  We will see what happens.

Love you all and remember faith is measured by obedience.
