This week was pretty good. On Monday, Elder Evans still didn’t feel very good and woke up Tuesday feeling super bad, so we went to the hospital and got him fixed up and good to go. We spent that night in the officina because of a protest from the bus drivers wanting better condiccions. We got back Wednesday and got to work. We found some old investigators that almost were baptized but then didn’t because their grandma doesn’t like it. However, they said that they wanted to go to church again and learn more. They are Claudia and Mishel.
This week we also had called and set up another appointment with Carolina and Noemi but after walking 3 km to their house and waiting for them for 20 minutes, they said that there was no male in the house soooo, we couldn’t teach them. They insisted that they were going to come to church but didn’t make it.
On Saturday, at about 8:15, we were on our way home and we felt a strong impression to applaude (knock) at a house and a BIG man is leaving the house, sees us, and says, “ELDER’s come on in.” So we entered into his one room house and got to talking with him and his wife. It turns out that Pirayu does have someone endowed. The man had served a mission in Argentina and had become inactive for some time. We shared about the Atonement and the sacrifice that Jesus had done for us and the room filled with the Spirit and changed his heart. Sunday, he and his wife showed up as we began singing the opening hymn and they enjoyed their time back in the church.
Well this week 5 of the others didn’t make it to church and 3 new ones did go, so the attendance was 22 this week.
Oh my scripture this week is Ether 2:14. I love it because of the importance that the Lord has for prayer.
Love you tons!
Love, Elder Call
Ether 2:14 And it came to pass at the end of four years that the Lord came again unto the brother of Jared, and stood in a cloud and talked with him. And for the space of three hours did the Lord talk with the brother of Jared, and chastened him because he remembered not to call upon the name of the Lord.
